How Are Product Dimensions Read XP Product Keys Are Not Specific To Individual CDs, Right?

XP Product keys are not specific to individual CDs, Right? - how are product dimensions read

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 that I would replace the motherboard and CPU later this year. I bought a 3rd party supplier before 2 years and not with the CD installation disc to come to () with a hard disk partition works. I have a valid product key in the box.

I have XP SP2 Dell discs that restore on eBay for 20-30. Can I enter these discs and the valid product key? I think even if it restore a dell disk that corresponds to the version of XP on my Dell, I'm fine.

I read that to start, if I replace my motherboard, does not my new system, probably due to the review of XP.

Not true!
Product key is the CD-ROM drive. If you sell on eBay for a recovery disk, you also get the key to

Sometimes the keys are that specific version, but should not be linked to CD ... You should use "any CD" with the same version of XP.

But if the version of the same CD as the license key should be good. While the CD is also a Dell (in the case of Microsoft to know that Dell for a central and not a Dell OEM version of XP), then there is the risk that Microsoft is hard to get to the plate.

Your system probably starts when you replace the motherboard ... May, but the immediate registration of all the features work XP.

When you restore a Dell hard drive then you will be the product key for Windows XP on a sticker somewhere on the system. Replacing the motherboard in a Dell system, you must update the BIOS on the motherboard. Go to the links page of the EIG, as I have all the drivers you need to reinstall, but before you burn it with the motherboard, store them on CD or on a diskette, Flas. If the product key does not work call Dell, and should be a dummy or a key and can contact Microsoft to give.
